This story book tells the tale of love that spans through life and beyond. Mr. & Mrs. Julian Devareaux were holding their annual garden party at their lovely home in Calais, France. The clock struck midnight and they met, despite their gathering, in their garden to steal a kiss. Unfortunately, Thomas, a man most trusted by Julian, was lying in wait, with nothing but hatred and jealousy in his heart. His plan, to kill his life long friend, Julian, to regain his lost love of years ago, Janette. He stabbed Julian in the heart and then slowly strangled his love, all the while telling her how he loved her with all of his heart and soul. Every year on this night the loving couple visit the garden at the stroke of midnight, under a beautiful full moon. Thomas killed himself shortly after strangling Janette.
The couple measure 5 3/4 inches tall and are composed of "aged" plastic. She is dressed in her favorite garden party dress of black taffeta and rayon. In her hand, she still holds her clutch purse. Julian is standing tall and handsome in his dinner jacket and tophat. Completing this "book" are the following: full moon photograph taken by myself, metal frame, flowers, leaves, black rose, hammer, moss, cardstock, and skulls.
